Sisterly Love

I think Ivey definitely loves her sister to pieces and it is a known fact that Julia is head over heels for Ivey. Julia lights up when Ivey walks in the room and she will practically do back flips off the changing table to try to get a glimpse of her when she hears her voice in the other room. No one can make Julia laugh quite like Ivey. Julia is constantly reaching and touching Ivey every chance she gets, much to Ivey's dismay. I am pretty confident that touch is Julia's highest ranking love language. It is very sweet and we wish Ivey would be a little more tolerant, but Julia doesn't seem to mind Ivey's whining. Julia is the sweetest baby alive. She is constantly smiling and laughing and just generally happy. She rarely cries, loves to take baths and is extremely curious about everything.

Dancing and Trick or Treating

Ivey started dance classes at the YMCA this fall. She was very excited about her dance shoes and outfit, calling them her "ballerina". In the first few classes she would just stand and observe and I was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to actually do the dance moves. She did eventually start dancing and became very fond of her teacher, Ms Meeghan.

We opted to decorate our pumpkins Mr. Potato Head style - much more efficient and much less messy. All four of us went trick or treating together. Ivey was much more interested in talking to people than getting candy. She did not understand why we weren't going into the people's houses.

October in the Mountains

We enjoyed a long weekend in the mountains in early October. Gramma and Grandad joined us for a couple days too.  We hiked a little and relaxed a lot.  The leaves were beautiful but it rained a lot of the time during our visit.

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We celebrated Sarah's fourth birthday at the pumpkin patch! We had a picnic, went on a hayride, walked through the corn maze, played in the corn bins, rode a cow train and a hay train and played on the swings, see saws and bales of hay. I think everyone had a really good time! It was lots of fun!

We celebrated Gramma's birthday the next day at Outback!
