Allison and the kids came to try to get a group picture, but Julia did not cooperate. We tried once with our normal photographer at the park and once at the JCPenny portrait studio with no such luck. We were able to take our own photo, but just barely. We also surprised Mom and Daddy who thought they were just coming to see Ivey and Julia before their flight to China.
We took the girls to Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville on Saturday. They were having a big Easter Event. Traffic was backed up at least a mile outside of the entrance and it took us well over an hour to get parked. We all had a good time though. We took a wagon ride to see all of the animals. Ivey really enjoyed feeding them. Julia was not a fan of the animals unless they were behind a fence (I pretty much felt the same way). Julia really liked the goats, sheep and camels. The Easter Egg Hunt was in a big field that they roped off and a helicopter flew over and dropped eggs onto the field. Julia did not like the noise of the helicopter so she was not interested in getting any eggs. Ivey wasn't fast enough and only got one egg. She was able to turn it in for a prize though. Ivey really enjoyed playing with the bunny rabbits. They also had a corn box and a playground.
| Here come the eggs! They dropped every half hour - on the hour for the little kids and on the half hour for the older kids |
Ivey came upstairs with both baskets Easter morning. She wanted to show us what the Easter Bunny had left her and Julia. Julia slept almost two hours later than Ivey. The entire afternoon was filled with Easter egg hunts in the front yard. Julia was not at all interested though. Every time we mentioned an egg hunt, she would say no JuJu. I think she thought the only way to have an Easter egg hunt was with a helicopter!
| Unfortunately, this was the best picture we could get of the girls in their Easter dresses |
