Smiley Ivey!
Ivey is really smiley! (most of the time) She even chuckles a little sometimes. She loves music, even when Mommy and Daddy sing, especially Daddy. He's really good at making up goofy songs! She tries to sing too - sounds like a little bird. She is really trying to figure out her hands and feet - she'll just hold a hand in front of her face and study it or stare at her feet and smile when they move. She also really likes to sleep. Her record is 11 hours. We're hoping it will soon become her routine.

On the Move!
We are finally venturing out a bit - we've been to church a couple times, on a few short shopping trips, to meet folks at Mommy's and Daddy's offices, to a birthday celebration at Gramma & Grandad's and on a mini-vacation to the mountains. Ivey seems to enjoy checking out all of the new places with those wide curious eyes of hers. She has started to smile some too, but I'm having trouble getting her to smile for the camera! She's also started to lose her hair, but she's not losing it in the back like normal babies, she's losing it on top. Her forehead keeps getting bigger - she has dupies!

Ivey is a month old & growing like a weed
Gramma and Grandad came over so Dad & Mom could go out for a belated Valentines date (so they said), but I think they just wanted an excuse to see me.
My cousin Anne previewed my huge stash of books.
Aunt Holly, Uncle Ken & my big Cousin Anne came for a visit.
Mom & I love walking through the neighborhood park.
I wore my Daddy out.

Ivey's 2nd week of life and first real outing
We were able to take some walks around the neighborhood this week once the weather decided to warm up a little. Ivey loves her car seat and Bob stroller. It's much smoother than the Snap n' Go stroller - her cheeks don't jiggle on rides over the bridges in the parks! We had our real first outing this morning to stamp club (previous outings were just to see the doctor). She did great! She slept until time for her bottle at 8:30, giving me time to get showered and ready to go. She slept in the car both ways and only fussed a little while we were there which gave Tracy an excuse to hold her! We got home just in time to eat again. It was fun, but it made me extra tired! She's sleeping more at night which isn't allowing Daddy to feed her before he leaves for work which is making for a more tired Mommy. Daddy has to be out of town for the first time tonight. Glad Gramma and Grandad are coming tomorrow so I can get a long nap in!

Ivey's first week at home
Ivey has had a busy first week at home. She's had lots of visitors including Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Allison, Gammie, The Clark Family, Gramma & Grandad and Aunt Jamie, Natalie & Nana. She had her first bath with help from Aunt Allison. She had her first outing to her first pediatrician's visit. She seems to have learned her days from her nights (hopefully). Grandad has nicknamed her Squeaky because she does tend to squeak occasionally. Actually, she makes lots of noises - some that seem too big for such a little girl. She is so sweet and content most of the time. We think we'll keep her!
I like tummy time!
