Waiting on Baby Julia Kate

I really enjoyed my pregnancy with Ivey, but I cannot say the same about Julia. I think I was ready for it to be over before I even made it to the 2nd trimester! Toward the very end, I was having so many false alarms from thinking my water broke to having painful consistent contractions for hours in the middle of the night that would stop just prior to the alarm going off. Not to mention, the difficulties of trying to care for a needy toddler along the way. But, she was definitely worth all of the pain and discomfort and I would endure it all over again in a heartbeat for my Julia Kate.

Adam & Jackson's Birthday Party

We celebrated the boys birthdays in Mebane this year. Jackson turned ten and Adam turned six. We met for lunch at their favorite mexican restuarant where Ivey consumed an entire plate of black beans along with her cheese quesadilla. We went back to their house to finish the celebration with ice cream sundaes, silly string and homemade bubbles.

Ivey's 2 Year Old Photo Session

We waited for the first of April to have Ivey's 2 year photos taken. Love the outdoor park setting and think these are Ivey's best ones yet. Here are my favorites:

Easter Sunday!

The Easter Bunny came to see Ivey and she was so excited to see all of the things in her basket Sunday morning. It was so cute! We went to church and then headed to the lake to celebrate with Gramma, Grandad, Aunt Allison, Uncle Kevin, Jackson, Adam, Sarah, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Roger, Natalie, Nana and Philip & Val. We had several Easter Egg hunts before it started raining. One for all, one for the boys and one for the girls. Ivey wanted to blow bubbles later, but it was raining. She told the rain to stop and it actually did! She was talking about stopping the rain and finding eggs for weeks.

Charleston in March

We headed to Charleston to help celebrate two big events - Margaret's christening and Anne's 4th Birthday!
Anne's party was at the bowling alley with family and four of her friends. Ivey even got to bowl a few times!
